Hillsdale Community Schools offer full-service
public education with three elementary schools, one middle school
and a recently remodeled high school. Two state-certified charter
schools, and one
private academy affiliated with Hillsdale
College, provide alternatives to public school education.
Higher Education
Hillsdale College is a private four-year
liberal arts institution. Founded in 1844, it is recognized as a
superior place of learning;

Barron's and others consistently
rank it as one of America's best colleges.
Jackson Community
College operates the
Clyde
LaTarte Center in Hillsdale, providing educational
opportunities to those pursuing an associate's degree. Students are
also able to commute to JCC's primary campus, located 35-miles
north of Hillsdale. Students can easily commute to the University
of Michigan, Michigan State University, Western Michigan
University, Eastern Michigan University, Spring Arbor University,
or Tri-State University.

Vocational Training
Hillsdale County Intermediate School District
and Kellogg Community College provide vocational training at the
Hillsdale Workforce Development & Technology Center. The Center
offers training on CNC equipment, CAD design, construction,
criminal justice, and health sciences.
Customized training
is always available at the Center.
